LEVELLAND Local, state and federal law enforcement agencies have arrested dozens of people across multiple South Plains counties in a series of operations that began Wednesday morning, officials announced Wednesday afternoon. LUBBOCK, Texas In a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Caprock HIDTA (Hi-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) Task Force, and the Texas (Lubbock) Anti-Gang Center (TAG), 20 individuals are in federal custody on a federal criminal indictment for a drug trafficking conspiracy, announced Erin Nealy Cox, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas. Alvarez Jr. is charged with federal counts of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substance and distribution and possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.
